Install the app on your iPhone and the free companion on your Windows PC. Sign in with the same account on both, put them on the same network, then pick your PC from the list in the app to pair. They stay connected from there.

The Windows app is not code-signed yet, so Windows may show an "unknown publisher" warning the way it does for any unsigned app. It is not malware. If your antivirus flags the helper, whitelist it, or wait until the app is signed before installing. Full detail is in the FAQ.
